Five MPs have resigned rather than vote for ETS. ETS is the Australian version of the American "Cap and Tax" bill.

"The Liberal Party is in turmoil with the resignations of five frontbenchers from their portfolios this afternoon in protest against the emissions trading scheme. Tony Abbott, Sophie Mirabella, Tony Smith and Senators Nick Minchin and Eric Abetz have all quit their portfolios because they cannot vote for the legislation. Senate whip Stephen Parry has also relinquished his position." - Telegraph

The whole scheme (ETS and "CAP and Tax") is an eco-fascist (Al Gore at the center) attempt to destroy modern society by penalizing business and individuals for any supposed CO2 emissions they produce (like exhaling I presume). Never mind that the whole plant kingdom needs CO2 to survive (this little thing called photosynthesis) and never mind that the faster plants grow the faster then they convert CO2 to O2 thus keeping the whole thing in balance - lets just dispense with facts, right Albert?

The big "push back" has started now that the world understands that the WHOLE global warming thing is a lie, hoax, and abomination. Thanks to the efforts of the hackers that distributed those damning emails from the East Anglia Climate Center. The only people that don't seem to get it is those pseudo-"scientists" from the East Anglia Climate Center. By the way, they need fired.
